Good Housekeeping

I will turn 35 in July. There's a part of me that thinks "I made it" and another that sits and remembers the day I remember my mom turned 35. While my kid is a lot younger than what her kids were, I notice a lot of duplicative efforts...most of which circle around "Good Housekeeping" magazine.

A couple of weeks ago Alex asked me what magazine subscription I would want. I thought GH would be the right amount of old vs new school housekeeping. I was right.

I know that my mom is sitting up in heaven with a pack of cigarettes and her boxed wine laughing at me. Not like a mocking laugh, but a laugh that says everything is just the way it should be.
